Learn about how to get started for the part-time Law Enforcement Academy this summer and apply at the workshop! You will also learn about the Wisconsin Technical College System tuition-free grant for this summer. Seats are limited!
About the Law Enforcement Academy:
Gain the police training and education needed to become a police officer in less than 12 months from the highly regarded Gateway Technical College Law Enforcement 720 Academy. The part-time academy offers flexibility by offering night and weekend classes, perfect for those with full-time jobs.
YOU’LL GET TRAINING IN:
- Unified tactics
- Firearms
- Emergency vehicle operations
- Defensive and arrest tactics
- Tactical field exercises
- Professional communications
As a student in the program, you will take additional courses, including those in first aid/CPR, standard field sobriety, criminal law, traffic law, community policing and criminal investigations.
WHAT TO EXPECT ON FEBRUARY 29TH, 2024:
- 10:30 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. Application Workshop
- 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Physical Readiness Test

Note: Applicants must have an Associate Degree or higher or have earned at least 40 post-secondary credits.
